National Women’s Day – IWPA Online Photography Exhibition

To celebrate the National Women’s Day, join us for a wonderful photography exhibition by inspirational women.

It is brought to you by the French association IWPA (International Women In Photography Award) and the network of Alliance Française in Southern Africa thanks to the support of the French Embassy in Pretoria. Discover online the Finalists and the Winner of the 2020’s edition.

The International Women In Photography Award is open to all women photographers all over the world.

An internationally selected jury composed of eminent figures from the art and photography community proceeds to select five finalists and designate the laureate among them. Every year, traveling  exhibitions are organised around the world to showcase the works of the finalists. Last year, five Alliance Françaises in South Africa and Lesotho hosted the 2018 edition of the award which included two South African participants.

IWPA provides a platform for women photographers and promotes their work to a wide and diverse audience thus contributing to a plurality of visions. Its mission is to  encourage and help women photographers to gain global recognition in order for them to move forward creatively and professionally.

The IWPA relies on the following partnerships: Canon France and La SAIF and La Copie Privée, EFTI and Fisheyes.
